We always welcome new volunteers joining the merry band who happily keep the Shop going. Karen could not run the Shop without them so we are very grateful to all those who give their time so willingly.
Days that are particularly short of volunteers are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, so if anyone could offer a couple of hours on those days please get in touch. If there are any newcomers to the village who feel they might like to help, please do remember it is a great way to get to know others in the village, and everyone is very friendly.
Just in case working the till is putting anyone off then there are plenty of other jobs that need to be done to keep the Shop running efficiently.
There are lots of new things now available from Sue’s Kitchen at the Village Shop and of course all the old favourites including; red, white and blackcurrant, blackcurrant and gooseberry, and black cherry jams, sweet green bean, ripe tomato and plum chutneys.
Corn Bread, Spelt and Walnut, Spelt and Honey, Pain de Compagne, Donker, Sour Dough, Chia Seed and Focaccia – yummmm!
Hardys and Namaque wines on special offer too . . .
Personal banking, cash, mobile top ups and fishing licences, bread, cakes, pies and pasties, fresh fish and seafood, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy and fresh meat products, newspapers, magazines, cards and stationery.

“On my first ever visit to St Tudy, I was lucky to experience the brand new cafe, just 4 days after its grand opening at the weekend.
It is a lovely fresh room with lots of natural light and a nice ambiance with all the comings and goings of customers in the shop.
Emma and I were helped through the ordering process by Vanessa, who showed us how to use the hi-tech coffee machine, which makes delicious coffees of all types. As we sat and drank our coffees, we felt we were in the heart of the village. I really loved the cups, which aren’t your typical modern cafe white porcelain, but have a warm homely feeling with their earthy tones.
It is warm and spacious… a great place to sit and read, chat, have a meeting or just relax and watch the world go by.”
